Hayes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good grief.\u00a0 BHO said the following:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;One of my predecessors, Rutherford B. Hayes, reportedly said about the telephone, &#8216;It\u2019s a great invention, but who would ever want to use one?'&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/factcheck.org\/2012\/03\/obamas-fake-hayes-quote\/\">FactCheck.org<\/a> of all places says it&#8217;s total nonsense.\u00a0 Not only is it nonsense, but President Hayes was the first president to have a telephone in the White House.\u00a0 So it&#8217;s worse than nonsense, it completely misrepresented what took place.\u00a0 President Hayes was a Republican, as if you haven&#8217;t deduced this one already.\u00a0 This blog is late to the party, the others have already covered it in depth and done it better, no doubt.\u00a0 But I have one comment to add&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>There are, like what, forty or fifty czars running around the White House these days?\u00a0 Why not create an Office of Getting It Right Before Telling Me to Say It czar?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good grief.\u00a0 BHO said the following: &#8220;One of my predecessors, Rutherford B.
