Manipulated by the Liberal Media

We all know them.  They’re our neighbors, coworkers, you name it.  People who live their lives conservatively, raise good kids, instill good values in them, but watch the news without understanding that it’s biased.  Inevitably, a conversation in the neighborhood or around the water cooler will turn to politics.  They’ll purse their lips and rub their chins and look reflective, deep in thought, their minds filled with the responsibility of weighty political analysis.  Then with all seriousness they can muster, they’ll proclaim, “Well, I’m concerned that Romney won’t release his tax returns.”  They’ll echo whatever the Democrat party is feeding the media complex that week.  They’ll comment on Romney or Palin, but you’ll never hear a peep of criticism about Obama.  It’s enough to make you want to scream.

You can tell them that he did release two years already and try to explain what the media is doing, but they won’t listen because they already consider themselves well-informed.  Who are they going to believe, some guy in the neighborhood or the news guy on TV?  They think the news exists to inform people of what’s taking place so they’ll be able to make the best choice in November, which is what the news is doing from its perspective.  They just don’t know the perspective is biased.

A lot of people are being hoodwinked, and all the while they think they have the inside track to the pulse of politics, knowledgeable, too savvy to be manipulated, all thanks to the Democrat party running polls from some basement and planning next week’s trickery.
