Well, just a glimpse from upstairs, but I can. The point is I shouldn’t be able to see it at all, because by now it should have lowered enough that it would have dropped out of sight. Four years ago Barack Obama said this:
I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.
Granted, he did say he was going to slow the rise, but every time a Republican wants to slow the rate of spending increases, he or she is lambasted as an extremist who wants to make Draconian cuts. So I’ll extend the same courtesy to our president.
The oceans should have dropped and receded halfway to his birthplace by now.
